The Restoration |

The 1830 Henry Erben organ was moved to the Taylor and Boody workshop in July, 2006 so the restoration could begin. While we will not start |

The restoration of this organ has been going on for several months now, but the website manager has been slacking on the updates! Below are some photos from the ongoing restoration of this instrument. Not pictured is the new Clarionet stop, which is in the process of being made. This stop is based on an existing Clarionet in the 3 manual Henry Erben organ in Old Saint Patrick's Cathedral in New York City. As of right now, the case restoration is mostly done, along with the bellows restoration. The windchest, which was in remarkable condition, is also completed and awaiting installation. The fabric panel that covers the front of the organ will be preserved and a replacement is being made, and all of the existing flue pipes have been repaired and the missing pipes replaced. |
